Project Background

The client wanted to build a comprehensive ERP system for registered Indonesian sellers who can use the system to manage online stores, publish new products, manage orders, track shipments and manage payments facilitated on multiple e-commerce platforms like Bukalapak, Tokopedia and Shopee.

Challenge

  • Most sellers complained to the client that it was a hassle for them to use the different portals provided by each e-commerce platform using which they had to update product information, pricing, manage orders and payments, hence it would be good to have a centralised system using which they could manage their e-commerce stores on all these platforms.
  • Sellers used to struggle to manage product and pricing information and keep track of discounts on each of the portals.
  • Sellers would lose out on revenue due to misplaced orders and undelivered orders leading to customer dissatisfaction and bad reviews on the business.
  • To ensure the retention of multiple e-commerce vendors, provide a wider product offering to customers and provide competitive pricing and offers, it was critical for the client’s operations team to upgrade their existing vendor portals so as to provide them with more ease of operations.

  • Build a comprehensive web-based ERP system that would integrate with the operational systems of multiple e-commerce portals (Bukalapak, Tokopedia, Shopee, etc.) so that vendors could perform all store management, sales and operational functions across these portals using a solitary, user-friendly interface.
  • Provide product, pricing and offer comparison features to the vendors so that they can review their product listings on each of the portals and create a winning sales strategy for each of the portals.
  • Integrate with all leading logistics providers within Indonesia so as to facilitate instant shipment bookings and real-time shipment tracking for vendors for all their orders coming in from different e-commerce portals.
  • Provide product, pricing, order information analytics to the client’s operations team so that they can devise vendor retention strategies and create enticing partnership offerings for their vendors.
